The Volkswagen New Beetle, also known as Beetle VW 2000, is a two-door, four-passenger car that was first introduced in 1997 and produced until 2011. The car is based on the original Volkswagen Beetle that was produced from 1938 to 2003.
The Beetle VW 2000 comes with a 1.8-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 150 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. It's available with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission.
Standard features on the Beetle VW 2000 include air conditioning, power windows, power locks, cruise control, and a CD player. Optional features include heated seats, a sunroof, leather seats, and a six-disc CD changer.
The Beetle VW 2000 was redesigned in 2005 with a more modern look and improved handling. It also received a more powerful engine, with a 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine that produced 150 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque. The car continued to be produced until 2011, when it was replaced by the Beetle that is currently being produced.
